Effective Nov. 1, 2011, the Employment Security Commission will now be known as the Division of Employment Security (DES). DES is now part of the North Carolina Department of Commerce.

December County Unemployment Rates for North Carolina Released

RALEIGH — Unemployment rates increased in 93 of North Carolina’s 100 counties in December. Rates decreased in four counties and remained the same in three.
