Amazon Check Stub (2023 Guide)

amazon check stub

Have you just started working for Amazon? Receiving your first payment after working hard for a week or two can be exciting.

Getting paid by the company is fairly straightforward, and you receive your salary directly in your account. Amazon has made a shift to becoming paperless in recent years, and check stubs are rarely issued. However, you may need to take a look at the information on the stub for tax purposes.

So, let’s find out how you can access your Amazon check stub and what the different numbers mean.

How To Find Your Check Stub?

Also known as a wage statement, this is a document that shows your payroll information for a particular period. In the past, most employees received one of these documents every week or two. However, most companies have gone digital, and this information is now available online instead.

When you get paid, you will be able to see how much you received through online banking. However, there is other information that you might also want to take a look at. This can include the number of overtime hours you worked and the tax deductions.

The Employment Resource Center

You can find all the employment and payment information you need through the Employee Resource Center website. Also known as the ERC, this online portal can be accessed by employees around the clock. This is also the place to reach out to the Human Resources team if you need to.

Online Access

Online Access

You can use a PC, laptop, smartphone, or tablet to access the Employee Resource Center website, and make sure you have your employee credentials ready.

Log into the website and navigate to the Amazon Benefits home screen. You will then be prompted to enter your username. Once this is done, click on the ‘Next’ button and enter your password to complete the sign-in process.

What if I forgot my Username?

You need to click on the Forgot Username link and answer a couple of questions generated by the system.

You will be asked if you can remember your login ID and need to click on yes or no. If yes, enter your ID number followed by your birthdate. You will also need to supply the last four digits of your Social Security Number to complete the process.

Make sure your details are correct…

Once you have completed the login process, you will be able to access your benefits information. It is a good idea to do this each time you are paid to make sure the details are correct. If you have any concerns about your salary or benefits, you can raise them with the Human Resources department.

Registering Online

If you are a new employee, you’ll need to register before you can access the Employee Resource Center website. Fortunately, this is a quick and easy process. Once online, you will be asked if you are a first-time user.

Click on the ‘Create an account’ button, which is located beneath the ‘Next’ button. You will then be redirected to the Forgot Username page. Start by entering your Amazon ID and then follow the prompts to complete the process.

Amazon Check Stub – What The Numbers Mean

When you finally access your wage statement, you will see a lot of different numbers on it. This can be confusing, especially if this is your first job. Let’s take a closer look at what the different numbers on your wage statement mean.

Number of hours worked

The first number on the wage statement relates to the number of hours you have worked. It is important to keep track of this, especially if you get paid by the hour. If there are discrepancies, your salary may be much lower than you bargained for.

Number of hours paid

The second number is the total number of hours paid. This number is calculated by dividing the hours you worked by forty.

Overtime

The third number on the wage statement relates to the number of overtime hours you worked. In some cases, your manager may have failed to report all your extra shifts to Human Resources. Always keep a record of your overtime and compare it to the number on your wage statement.

Sick Pay

The fourth number represents sick pay. This figure is not generally included on your wage statement unless you have used any sick time during the last payment period.

Your Net Pay

Last but not least, the fifth number represents your net pay. This figure consists of any deductions, such as taxes, that are taken out of your paycheck.

How To View Your Check Stub After Leaving Amazon

How To View Your Check Stub After Leaving Amazon

Once you have been fired or quit your job, you won’t be able to view your old wage statements online. This is because your access to the ERC website will be restricted. Therefore, it is best to print out your check stubs before leaving the company. You can also access your final wage statement by contacting the human resources department.

How To Get A PDF

Saving your old check stubs as PDFs is a good way to keep track of them. PDFs only take up a tiny amount of space, and you can keep them all together in one place. This will help to make sure the information is always close to hand in case you need it.

To get started, locate the navigation panel and click on ‘Workers.’ Find the Employees tab and click on the Paycheck list link, which can be found beneath the Run payroll button.

Printing out your paystub

You now need to select the date of the payment information you want to view. Click on the box next to your employee name to select the paystubs and click on print. You will be redirected to the PDF window, and you need to click on the Print icon.

How To View Your W2

When tax season rolls around, it is a good idea to check in on your W2 form. This is an annual tax document that shows how much you earned the previous year. It provides a summary of your total income as well as the withholding.

You can head on over to the IRS website and print a copy of your W2 form. Make sure you have your ten-digit employee ID number or password and username close to hand. It is a good idea to file your old W2 forms in case you are ever audited by the IRS.
