Can 16-year-olds Work At CVS?
You are in luck! Sixteen-year-olds are permitted to work at CVS doing entry-level jobs. These may include a cashier, a beauty care associate, or a sales assistant. Beauty Care Associate
For this position, it is helpful if you are interested and knowledgeable in beauty care products, but if not, it won’t hinder you from getting the job. Training will be available from other staff members. During this role, you will be assigned to a department and should have excellent customer service skills.
Retail Store Associate
A store associate is responsible for the general day-to-day maintenance of the shop floor. Stocking shelves, interacting with customers, and checking for stock in the back if things are missing on shelves. You will be led by a manager but taking the initiative is also essential! Previous retail experience is an advantage but not necessary for this role.
How Much Will I Be Paid at CVS?
Great news for those applying for a job at CVS Pharmacy. This is because CVS recently committed to raising their minimum wage to $15 per hour and will commence in summer 2023. At the moment, CVS’s minimum wage policy is $11 per hour.
Positions Available for Older Teens (18+)
Several jobs at CVS require you to be 18 years old and above. These job opportunities are available in part-time or full-time positions.
A supervisor is responsible for working beneath a manager. In this role, you have to ensure staff members take appropriate breaks, delegates tasks, keep the shop floor tidy, and resolve issues for cashiers if they have problems.
Pharmacy Sales Associate
A pharmacy sales associate should be comfortable using the computer and taking phone calls. Communication is vital in this role as you have to answer customer queries and communicate issues to pharmacists.
