If you’ve ever bought something online and had to return it, you know the importance of a good return policy.

Shopping for electronics can be tricky. You want to make sure you’re getting a good deal and that you won’t regret your purchase later on.

One of the most popular electronic purchases out there at the moment is AirPods, and if you’re thinking of buying a pair from Costco, you should know about their return policy first.

So, let’s find out more about the Costco AirPods return policy.

What is a Return Policy?

The store return policy is the set of rules and guidelines that the store has in place regarding returns and refunds. These policies can vary greatly from store to store, and it is important for consumers to be aware of the policies before making a purchase. Some stores have very generous return policies, while others are much stricter.

Where to go to ask?

Most stores will have a sign or section on their website or on the receipt that outlines their return policy. It is important to read through the policy carefully so that you are aware of all the details and restrictions.

Some common things included in return policies are:

  • Whether or not the store offers refunds or if they only offer exchanges
  • How long you have to return an item (usually this is within 30 days of purchase)
  • What types of items are not eligible for return (such as clearance items or items that were sold as-is)
  • Whether or not you need a receipt in order to make a return
  • What methods of payment are eligible for refund (such as credit card, cash, or check)
  • How the refund will be issued (returning to your first payment method, using shop credit, or using a gift card)

It is important to note that some stores have different policies for online purchases versus in-store purchases, so be sure to check both before making a decision. Additionally, many stores have special holiday return policies that may be different from their regular policy, so be sure to check those.

  1. False. Earphones/earbuds do not fall under the Costco exception for 90 day returns. You can actually return them as long as you have all the parts at anytime, even years from purchase. Costco has a satisfaction guarantee on all products they sell without a time limit except for the exceptions on the 90 day list (which again does not include airpods)
