Customers can make a purchase in Home Depot or online. At the end of the purchase, they will be refunded 11% on their items. This will then be added to a store gift card where they can then make further purchases with the money they saved. You can use the gift card online or in-store. There is no set price limit on the rebate. However, you cannot combine it with any other offers. Remember, this is not money back into your credit card. It is a gift card that can only be used at Home Depot.

How Often is the 11% Rebate available?

Home Depot doesn’t announce the rebates ahead of time. That’s why you must be ahead of the game by checking their website and in-store when this offer comes up. You may as well wait a few days to go shopping if you are making a big purchase. Also, keep an eye out for competitor Menard’s; Home Depot tactfully does the rebate around the same time as them to raise the competition.

How To Take Part In The Home Depot 11% Rebate

Date

You must check the date on the Home Depot website to find out when the next rebate is or if it is currently taking place.

Purchase Time

You must claim the rebate within 30 days of purchase. If you miss this time slot, you will not be eligible for the rebate.

Receipts

You must keep all proof of purchase to be eligible for the rebate. When applying for the rebate, you must attach your receipts and proof of purchase. This takes around five to six days to be verified by the company.

Multiple Purchases

Unfortunately, you cannot complete your rebate form for different receipts. You must create a new application for each purchase. If all your purchases are on one receipt, it is a much smoother process.

Lost Receipts

If you have lost your receipt for an item that you purchased in-store, you must visit the store and take this up with the customer service team. They may be able to help and print a new receipt for you.

Online

If you have a working laptop or a smartphone, online is probably the best and most convenient way for you. There is a form to fill out on the website, which includes inputting your personal details, receipt details, and order details. If you want to do it the good old-fashioned way, you can send it via post. Online there is an application form you can print. Otherwise, you can collect one from the customer service desk at your local Home Depot store. Remember, the 30 days purchase period still stands, so make sure your envelope is dated when you send it via mail.

If you are having troubles with mail or online submission, you can call the customer service team at (1-866-451-1357) to discuss your rebate. 

What Do I Do If I Haven’t Received My Rebate?

Home Depot advises that you must be patient and wait between six and eight weeks to process your rebate. You can also check the rebate portal. However, if it’s been 12 weeks and you haven’t received or heard anything. You must call customer service at 1-866-451-1357.

What is excluded from the Home Depot Rebate?

Unfortunately, there are some item exclusions in the Home Depot rebate. There are over 1100 products on the exclusion list. The brand’s Weber and John Deere, as well as gift cards, are also excluded from the 11% rebate. You cannot use the rebate on any offers, and it has to be on full-price items.

Price Match Guarantee

If you print out a copy of a competitor selling an item cheaper online, you can bring it to the store and ask if Home Depot will match the price. In many cases, they will.

This is also a great option if you live in a small home with little to no storage space for drills and screwdrivers!

Oops Paint

There is a section in Home Depot with oops stickers. This is usually paint that has been mixed incorrectly, has the wrong texture, or the color was off. These are not usually openly sold to the public, but you can speak with a sales associate to lead you to the ‘heavily discounted’ items.
