Brand Associate

This involves helping customers, giving advice, and sharing your knowledge of the product, as well as giving good customer service. To work as a Brand Associate, you need to be a minimum of 16 years old, and you don’t need any special education or experience for this position.

Stock Associate

This is similar to working as a brand associate, the difference between the two is the work schedule, and a Stock Associate mainly handles the stock part of things, such as keeping the store inventory neat and tidy, and making sure that what is needed is there. 

Great skills to have for this position are:

  • Good attention to detail
  • Friendly and helpful personality
  • Being able to easily do physical tasks
  • Great organizational skills

You will need to be a minimum of 16 years old, and you don’t need any special education or experience for this role.

Loss Prevention

Loss Prevention

In this role, your main objective is to prevent theft and damage. You watch security cameras, the customers, and even the employees to see if there are any signs or suspicions of theft. 

Great skills to have for this position are:

  • Good observation skills
  • Patience
  • Good at Communicating
  • Being able to think clearly in stressful situations

To work in loss and prevention, you need to be a minimum of 16 years old; however, you need to have a high school diploma or GED education. Experience isn’t necessarily required for this position, but it is preferred. 

Other in store positions at Old Navy

District Manager – responsible for the stores in the region that they are assigned to. 

General Manager – responsible for the store or department they are employed in. 

Supervisor – “the team leader” of a group of staff. 

Merchandising 

To work in Merchandising at Old Navy, you will need a background in Business and Financing.
