Clothing and Footwear Sales Specialist

You need to have a strong knowledge of outdoor activities to do this job. When customers are checking out different items, you should be available to assist them. Quickly determine their needs to offer them the perfect products.

You need to be able to clearly explain the selling points of each item and answer questions. When the department is quiet, your focus should be on keeping it clean and well-organized. The base salary for this role is around $11 per hour in addition to commission.

Bicycle Shop Technical Specialist

If you have mechanical skills and love messing around with bicycles, this job has your name all over it. The main duty is repairing and maintaining action sports equipment to meet REI standards. The first step is meeting with customers and assessing their needs, which requires strong communication skills.

You would work directly under a Certified Technician and report safety and quality issues to them. It is necessary to complete a special technical certification to do this job. This includes snow sports and service advisor certifications, and paid training is provided by REI.

Store Manager
