 For those in the know, this St. Louis staple is the one-stop shop for all your grocery needs. Whether it’s food, toiletries, or medicine, Schnucks is there for you. However, like all stores, it’s not open all year round. Schnucks is a family-run business and treats its employees as such. That means everyone gets time off for the holidays.

Most of the time, the store has awesome opening hours! Schnucks stores are open seven days a week for pretty lengthy periods. This ensures that customers have as much time as necessary to pick up everything they need.

Everyone needs time to spend with family and friends during the holidays. And retail workers are no exception. That means there are a few days when Schnuck is closed completely.

Schnucks Christmas hours

Schnucks is not open on Christmas day, so make sure you plan things in advance! You won’t be able to pop to the store to buy anything you’ve forgotten for your Christmas party. Schnucks still has decent Christmas eve hours. It opens as normal at 6 AM. It closes at 5.30 PM though, to give its staff time to get home and start celebrating.

And good news! Schnucks Boxing day hours are completely normal! On the 26th of December, it has its regular hours of 6 AM – 10 PM.

Is Schnucks open on Thanksgiving?

No, Schnucks is not open on Thanksgiving. Anything you need for Thanksgiving dinner should be bought in advance. Don’t expect to show up and grab a turkey at short notice!

What about Black Friday?

Of course, Schnucks is open on Black Friday! Come on, it’s the biggest shopping event of the year! Most stores are open from 6 AM to 10 PM for you to get all those goodies in the sale.

What are Schnucks Easter hours?

Easter Sunday is the third day of the year that Schnucks stores are closed completely. No services are available on this day. It’s still open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, and Easter Monday, though, so you still have plenty of opportunity to go shopping.

Reduced Holiday Hours

There are several holidays that Schnucks remains open. Instead, the store operates during reduced hours. This balances it giving staff time off with still providing excellent services to its guests. As mentioned earlier, Christmas eve is one of those days. The store opens bright and early at 6 AM. It closes several hours early, though, at 10 PM.

New Year’s hours

Unlike many large chains, Schnucks remains open during the New Year period. On New Year’s Eve, customers can shop between the hours of 6 AM and 8 PM. On New Year’s Day, Schnucks opens a little later at 9 AM but closes at the usual time of 10 PM.

Schnucks Other Holiday Hours

Apart from Easter Sunday, most of their holiday hours only occur over the November – December period. Outside of these months, you generally don’t have to worry too much about the store being closed.

Many Schnucks stores offer pharmacy services alongside groceries. Back in 2008, it was even crowned Pharmacy Chain of the Year by Drug Topics magazine. However, in 2020, Schnucks Pharmacy was bought by CVS, and many stores closed in favor of nearby CVS locations.

What does that mean?
