About The Card 

Walmart Associate Discount Card was introduced by Sam Walton in the 1980s. The purpose is to reward employees for their hard work and give them a bonus. It entitles employees to receive savings of 10% on purchases in the store.

Employees can receive this discount on all fresh food items as well as general merchandise. It can also be used to receive money off various services that the company offers. This includes phone services, travel, and entertainment.

Only after 91 days of working…

New employees receive access to this bonus after they have been working for the company for 91 days. This will allow you to make savings on products you purchase in any of the company’s stores. You can also use your bonus to make savings when you make purchases through the Associate Discount Center. 

You can use this benefit in any of the company’s stores that are located in the United States. If you are planning a trip to Puerto Rico, you will also find that there are a few stores there. Therefore, you can also use your benefit to save money on products in stores throughout Puerto Rico. 

A loophole if you leave Walmart!

Once you stop working for the company, your details will be removed from the system. This means that you will no longer be able to save money on products and services. However, it can take a few days or even a couple of weeks for your details to be removed. It is a good idea to use this benefit as much as possible before this happens.

How To Get Money Off Products?

The first thing you need to do is log into your online account and enter your Walmart Identification Number. You then need to enter the number of the card that you want to register. Once this has been done, your savings will automatically be linked to your account.

When you purchase in a store, you can then swipe your card through a reader at the checkout. This will automatically give you a saving of 10% on whatever you want to buy. This even extends to electronics and other substantial goods that have not been marked down already. 

Using it to shop online…

When shopping online, you need to go to the company’s website and track down the associate page. Enter your Associate ID number in the space provided and then click to continue. This will log you into your associate account and allow you to receive savings on any purchases that you make. 

Who Can Benefit Apart From You?

If you are married, your husband or wife can also use this bonus to save money on their shopping. You can apply for a separate card for your partner through your online account. This allows them to save money when they visit one of the company’s stores.

If you have a child who is under nineteen years old, they can also use this special bonus. The main condition is that your child has to be unmarried. Alternatively, they can use your bonus to save money up to the age of 22 if they are still in college. 

The Lifetime Discount Card

The company rewards employees for their loyalty by giving them this special bonus. This special benefit allows you to enjoy savings on products for the rest of your life. You will still be able to make savings on products and services even when you have retired from work. 

You usually need to have worked at the company for twenty consecutive years to receive this special benefit. However, you can also receive the benefit when you retire at the age of 55 or over in some cases. To become eligible, you need to have worked for the company for at least fifteen years.

Replacing Your Card

If your card is lost or stolen, you should report it to your personnel manager as soon as possible. You will then be issued with a new one and can regain access to savings. 

However, you will need to register the new number before you can start saving. Alternatively, you can call the Benefits Customer Service Team and report the issue.

Don’t keep losing your card!

If your card becomes damaged for any reason, you will also need to apply for a new one. This can be a bit of a hassle and can become an issue if it happens regularly. Therefore, it is important to try and keep your card safe and secure at all times.

You can access a wide range of other exclusive deals through the Associate Discount Center. After you have logged in, the latest deals on products and services will be displayed. The deals change regularly, so it is worth checking in every day or two to make sure you catch them. 

Holiday savings

There are often enhanced savings and deals for associates to take advantage of during December. This includes savings on rollback items and discounted food. The additional savings start just after black Friday and run until January 1st.

Employees who work on Thanksgiving or the day before or after are also rewarded with additional savings. These employees typically receive a special voucher that can be used once. 

In addition to your regular 10% employee saving, this coupon gives you an additional saving of 15%. This means that you can save a cool 25% on any products and services that catch your eye.
