How it works?

To get started, you need to download the Sam’s Club app onto your smartphone or tablet. Tap on the Scan & Go icon at the top-left of the screen and sign in. To do this, you simply need to enter your membership account email address and password.

You can use the Scan and Go feature to scan the products you want to buy when you are shopping in a store. Simply scan the items you want to purchase and put them in your cart. Repeat this process until you have everything you need.

Pay with the app…

If you cannot find the barcode, you can tap on the product in a list presented in the app. You can also search for it in the app by entering the dedicated UPC number. This is the first series of numbers that is located beneath the barcode.

Once you have finished shopping, you can pay for the products with the app. You will receive a QR code as verification that payment has been made. Show an employee the QR code on the way out of the store, and the process is complete. 

Registering 

You need to be an active member to use Scan and Go. Although it is not necessary to register, doing this will give you access to deals such as Instant Savings Coupons. You will see the available deals and discounts when you tap on the feature on your smartphone or tablet. You simply need to enter your zip code and membership number to register, and the details will be saved. 

Use at gas stations

You can use Scan and Go to pay at Sam’s Club and Walmart gas stations. Simply scan the QR code at the gas station pump and select your preferred payment method. After refueling your vehicle, your receipt will be sent to your email account. This is a very quick and easy way to pay for gas when you are on the go. 

Alternative Payment Methods

You can use a wide range of different payment methods to pay for products after scanning them. All you need to do is enter the information of the card you want to use in the account section of the app. You can add several different cards if you want and select the one you want to use when you checkout. 

Your card information will be saved automatically, making it very quick and easy. This saves you from having to enter the information each time. These details will be protected and will not be shared with third parties.

It is important to note that you cannot use an Electronic Benefits Transfer to pay through the app. If you have an EBT card or SNAP, you will need to head on over to the cash register. However, you can use available Cash Rewards to pay for your Scan & Go purchases.

The app is designed to be compatible with all Android and Apple phones and tablets. At this time, Microsoft phone users cannot use the app. However, a new version is in production that is designed to be compatible with Microsoft phones, this will give even more customers access to this convenient and time-saving application. 

Printing receipts

All your receipts for previous purchases will be saved to the app for future review. This makes it easy to keep track of your spending and make adjustments to your budget. You can also print them out if you need them to make a return at any point.

Tap on the Scan & Go feature and locate the paper icon on the top left-hand side of the screen. You will see all of your previous purchases, which will be organized by date. Tap on the receipt you want to print and tap on the top right-hand side button to export it. You will be able to print the receipt once you connect your phone or tablet to a printer.

You have to be at least 21 years old to use the Scan & Go feature. The maximum order total per store visit is $750. Although almost every type of product can be purchased using the company’s dedicated app, there are a few exceptions.
